With renovations in the house in full steam, I have to put my goal of home organization in full gear. The dust is settling, and furniture is moved all about so to keep some sanity about my myself I am organizing my office space. I am sprucing up the room, so I get away from the construction chaos and work on the blog, and Youtube videos in organized peace.
First up was creating a large dry erase board to make checklists for post deadlines, craft ideas, and event obligations. Luckily National DIY Day (April 2nd, 2017) is soon approaching, and I figured all my blogger gal pals would appreciate a great organization diy for blogging. So let’s jump into this project, shall we?
Here are materials you are going to need (items are linked):
- Rustoleum Dry Erase Paint
- Magnetic primer is pictured but I did not use it (optional)
- Painters tape
- Indoor double sided Scotch tape
- Decorative door trim
- Tape measure
- Paint roller
- Latex gloves
First, I used my handy dandy laser lever to mark the dimensions of the board. I wanted it to be rather large (5ft x 6ft) so Sirr and I could both use the dry erase board.
Then, lay painters tape along the drawn lines.
Next, read the full instructions on the back of dry erase paint can for proper application. Pour part A into Part B and mix well.
To create a decorative border I placed doubled sided mounting tape to the back of my pre-cut door trim and stuck it to the wall surrounding the dry erase area. And there you have it!. A super simple project to keep all your to-do lists and notes visible and organized.
