I hope everyone had rockin’ work week! I have been busy building my house up from ground zero. I took some time away from any home renovations or makeover projects to get my stamina, creativity, and funds up. But now the holidays are upon us, and I need to get this house ready for the festivities. The basement is slowly getting done so I decided to tackle a warm-up project: the basement guest bathroom.
The guest bathroom is technically an extension of Sirr’s man cave, but it is still hard for me to admit that he has a “man cave” let alone a bathroom with coordinating decor. But anywho, it is what it is.
Sirr was adamant about keeping the decor masculine and music motivated not “music-themed.” There is an apparent difference, according to him. No music notes or saxophones hanging on the walls but more things to aspire to musically and people who inspire him.
Here is where we left off with the bathroom renovation. The floor tile was being selected and was installed a few months after that. #eyeroll
Here is the bathroom in its current state. The toilet was installed, and the walls were primed, and that’s about it.
But I am ready to make some serious changes. I created a mood board as a guide for Sirr’s vision. He saw it this morning, absolutely loved it, and I was excited to get started. This afternoon, I painted three walls with Behr’s Silver Bullet and I cut the wood for a board and batten accent wall. I found the perfect lighting fixture and mirror, AND I have a ton of DIYs in mind!!!! #eeeeek Can you tell I’m excited???!
Ok, well that’s it for now! So, let me know what you think! I would love more input from my fellas out there. Hopefully, I’ll be back with the complete bathroom in a few weeks.
