After holiday season 2016 was over, I found myself left with a few cheap decorations that more than likely won’t make it to the next year. Especially, Halloween candy buckets and Christmas baskets. So I decided to give the Halloween bucket one more run for the money with a modern Easter basket makeover filled with delicious Mars/ Wrigley candy from Walmart the go-to Easter destination this spring!   To revamp your holiday buckets here is what you are going need:

  • Bucket
  • Black rope
  • White rope
  • Plastic or rubber bunnies
  • Mason jars
  • Black Spray paint
  • White spray paint
  • Decorative eggs
  • Faux moss
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hot glue sticks

Your choice of:

  • DOVE® Milk Chocolate Bunny
  • SNICKERS® Bunny Cane
  • DOVE® Peanut Butter Egg NEW at Walmart.
  • Skittles® Bunny Cane
  • Starburst® Fun size Cane
  • Hubba Bubba®

First, spray paint the outside edge and inside of the bucket with black spray paint.  Let it dry.

Then hot glue black rope and white rope to the bucket, alternating the colors, to create a modern striped pattern.

Next, fill the bucket with faux grass and moss.

For more easter fun hot glue an easter animals to the tops of mason jar lids.  I used these super cute bunny erasers.

Once the glue cools, spray the bunny and the entire lid white.

Fill the mason jars with the candy from the Mars/Wrigley SNICKERS® Bunny Cane, Skittles® Bunny Cane and Starburst® Fun size Cane.

Place your jars and decorative eggs on top of the faux moss and viola!

For a #SweetEaster head on over to your local Walmart and fill your baskets with Mars/Wrigley candy!

What a great repurpose, plus it’s neutral design would be great for year round use. #client
